The first reviews of the new Alienware x14 are in

The Alienware X14 is an absolutely gorgeous little gaming laptop, easily able to keep you gaming on the go, thanks to its solid performance and lightweight build. However, battery life is a little on the weak side and you’re going to have to settle for a sub-par webcam.
Alienware isn’t breaking new ground with the X14. Other brands like Acer, Asus, Razer, and more are now years into incorporating 14-inch options into their respective lineups. And some of them aim higher, offering better performance in this small form factor. That doesn’t take away from the X14 being a big deal for Alienware. It’s also a big deal for casual gamers who’ve always wanted an Alienware that can fit more easily into their lives (and backpacks).
The slim Alienware x14 looks and feels great, performs well, and impressively charges solely over USB-C. But those with large hands may want a bit more room for their palms to rest below the keyboard.
The brand-new Alienware x14 joins the upper echelon of 14-inch gaming laptops, delivering a sound gaming experience and fast overall performance in a super-portable design.
But beyond its good looks and extremely efficient size and weight, the x14’s beauty isn’t just skin-deep. As our headline says, Alienware pulled together a potent, petite powerhouse of a machine. The Alienware x14 looks great, feels great to use and puts up excellent performance in its size and weight class, with respectable battery life as well, if you dial its software in for the workloads you’re putting it through at the time. Frankly, we expected the Core i7-12700H Alder Lake CPU in this machine to weigh heavier on its battery life and thermals than it did, actually.
